China Air Fuel Fees Fall Again as Summer Travel Starts
Listen to the full version

China’s domestic air fuel surcharges are being cut again from July 5, offering passengers some relief at the start of the summer travel season while leaving carriers exposed to still-elevated oil costs.
Guangzhou-based budget carrier 9 Air said on July 1 it would charge 100 yuan ($14.7) per passenger on domestic routes of 800 kilometers or more, down 30 yuan from the previous level. The surcharge on shorter routes will fall by 50 yuan to 50 yuan.
