Former China Securities Regulator Sentenced to Life for $14 Million Graft

A local Chinese court sentenced Wang Jianjun, a former vice chairman of the country’s top securities regulator, to life in prison for accepting more than 93 million yuan ($14 million) in bribes.

The court handed down the verdict Monday, stripping Wang of his political rights for life and confiscating his personal assets, according to China’s top court.
