Former Top China Securities Regulator Expelled for Corruption

A former vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has been expelled from the Communist Party and dismissed from public office, six months after he was placed under investigation for alleged corruption.
Wang Jianjun was found to have committed serious violations of party discipline and law, including bribery, the country’s top anti-graft watchdog announced Monday. His case has been transferred to prosecutors.
