Two luxury homes in Hong Kong once owned by China Evergrande founder Hui Ka Yan were found to contain nearly 8,000 square feet of unauthorized construction, including excavated basement rooms and a swimming pool built beneath a private road.

The properties, Houses C and E at 10 Black’s Link on Hong Kong’s Peak, were formerly held by Hui through companies but were taken over by creditors after Evergrande’s debt crisis erupted.
