Yu Yongding is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and has been a Member of Advisory Committee of National Planning of the National Development and Reform Committee of the People's Republic of China since 2004. He has also served on the Monetary Policy Committee of the People's Bank of China, the Advisory Committee of Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
