How Britain and China will Rise or Fall Together

When I reflect on the events of 2011, I am convinced that this will be looked back on as an extraordinary year. We have seen economic turbulence in Europe, a wave of popular change sweeping through North Africa and the Middle East, major earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand, and the rise of online social media as a means of public expression. The impact of these events has been felt widely around the world. This reinforces my view that we live in a networked world, and no country can operate in isolation. The world is changing rapidly and we need to move with it.
