China’s Oppo will begin selling smartphones in the U.K. soon, with an official launch event scheduled for Jan. 29, the company said Wednesday on its new U.K. Twitter account.

An official U.K. website will open soon, it said.

The firm has been pushing aggressively into overseas markets as competition in China intensifies.
