Former Hunan Deputy Party Chief Indicted in 22-Year Bribery Case

A former senior official in central and northern China has been indicted on bribery charges following accusations of accepting massive illicit wealth, high-end clothing and premium medical services over a nearly 22-year period.
Wu Lan, the former deputy party chief of Hunan province who also held prominent roles in Inner Mongolia, was officially charged by the Jiangmen Municipal People’s Procuratorate in Guangdong province. The Supreme People’s Procuratorate announced the indictment on Wednesday, July 15, confirming her arrest after the National Commission of Supervision concluded its investigation.
