Li Zhuang's Chilly Seasons for Rule of Law

Chongqing prosecutors recently charged Li Zhuang, a Beijing lawyer, with a previously "omitted" count of obstructing evidence in connection with a 2008 case in Shanghai.

The charge, which a judge later dismissed, came as Li entered the final weeks of his 18-month sentence for perjury in connection with his work as a defense attorney for a Chongqing crime boss.
