Stability, Openness and Inclusiveness Are Key to an ‘Asian Century,’ Singapore Deputy PM Says

The world may be on the cusp of an “Asian Century,” but the region must first position itself as a place that can offer “stability, openness, and inclusiveness,” Singapore’s a deputy prime minister said Thursday.

Gan Kim Yong, who is also the minister for trade and industry, delivered the opening keynote address at the “Asia New Vision Forum 2025: Charting the Future Amid Uncertainty.” In his speech, he said Asia could remain a key pillar of global peace and prosperity.
