China’s producer price index (PPI) rose 0.1% year-on-year in January, down from a 0.9% increase in the previous month, official data showed Friday. The PPI tracks the prices of goods circulated among manufacturers and mining companies.
The consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.7% in January, down from 1.9% the month before, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. The CPI measures the prices of a select basket of consumer goods and services.
