AI Specialist Inspir.ai Raises $46 Million in New Funding

By Ding Yi / Jul 13, 2021 07:25 PM / Business & Tech

Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) startup Inspir.ai has secured 300 million yuan ($46 million) in its series A funding round led by GGV Capital, as more and more businesses adopt the technology in an effort to streamline workflows and improve the experience of their customers.

Vision Knight Capital, Gaorong Capital and mobile game developer Lilith Games, rounded out the round’s participants, Inspir.ai said in a statement Monday.

Inspir.ai plans to use the funds to develop its AI technology, upgrade its core product, acquire high-level talent and expand its market share, according to the statement.

Founded in 2017 in Beijing, Inspir.ai uses deep learning, reinforcement learning and cloud computing to develop cross-industry AI platforms, especially for use in decision-making and gaming. For example, Inspir.ai has provided its AI solutions to several gaming companies to help them create virtual characters that can act like humans to improve the gaming experience.

“Inspir.ai has helped us solve many game development problems with their AI technologies,” said Shanghai-based Lilith President Zhang Hao, adding that the data collected from Lilith’s games can in turn be helpful for Inspir.ai to improve its AI platforms.
